Operations Coordinators
Job Description
The USAID-funded Palestinian Health Sector Development and Reform Project (the Flagship Project) is a five-year project funded by USAID and implemented by Chemonics International Inc. to support the Palestinian Ministry of Health and other key non-governmental health providers in developing a vibrant, sustainable, and efficient health system to improve the quality of life for the Palestinian people. The Flagship Project is currently recruiting highly motivated professionals specializing in the following areas:
Operations Coordinators (long-term):
- Provide strategic, administrative, and logistical support to the various technical and operational components of the project for the timely completion of project goals and objectives.
- Provide assistance in writing key technical, administrative, contractual, and programmatic
documents.
- Provide assistance in creating and maintaining programmatic and administrative systems/trackers to promote operational efficiencies, institute consistent practices, streamline processes, and ensure compliance with USAID/project policies.
- Provide assistance in coordinating project procurement activities.
- Assist with preparations for visiting consultants, project events, presentations, and other event planning.
- Ability to successfully interact and work with senior-level technical experts, governmental
counterparts, and key members of the international donor community.
- Possess advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office software, word processing and spreadsheets required.
- Possess excellent writing and communication skills in English and Arabic.
-Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and tasks at once, consistently meet deadlines, and adapt well to change in a fast paced work environment.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, coordination, and diplomatic skills.
- Minimum of five years experience managing and supporting operational, administrative, and logistics support to international development projects.
- Familiarity of USAID logistics and procurement rules and regulations and knowledge of health programs preferred.
