World Vision Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza is seeking a:
Operations Director
The successful candidate will:
Provide leadership to the Programs Department and field teams in accordance with the mission and values of World Vision
Ensure Operations department reflects the national strategy and is guided by developmental principles and World Vision Design, Monitoring & Evaluation Framework (LEAP) and DPA
Advise, approve and evaluate operations budgets, funding expenditures and accomplishment of ministry impact
Ensure networking and maintain good relationships with major government/private donors and WV support offices. Initiate and maintain regular contact with other international NGOs for coordination of work
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to community development. Master’s degree in international development, business administration, public health, economics, rural development preferred
Experience in Project Cycle Management and report writing
At least 10 years’ experience in development, working in a developing country Minimum 5 years’ experience in top management
Very good interpersonal and oral communication skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency and productivity
Clear understanding of the work of major donor perspectives, requirements and standards
Able to represent World Vision to major program donors in a highly professional manner, in person and in writing
Knowledge of change management towards flat, open management style and away from hierarchical, command and control model
Excellent judge of character
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage staff in remote locations
