Operation Manager, Gaza Gateway

This advertisement seeks qualified applications for an Operation Manager, who will be responsible for the Gaza Gateway’s operations, finance, procurement, archives, financial reporting and related functions.  This position requires a broad knowledge of back office operations in business and donor-funded workplaces.

The Gaza Gateway is a social enterprise to attract outsourcing employment to Gaza.  Based on four internal projects as a pilot activity within UNRWA, the Gaza Gateway will be launching in the private sector by the end of 2015.  Therefore, this contract will begin as a Special Services Agreement (SSA, or OD29) with UNRWA, and will be transferred to an employment contract with the Gaza Gateway at the time of the launch.

The Operations Manager will ensure that the Gaza Gateway’s financial operations are budgeted, accurate, and accountable. In addition to that he/she will implement the Gaza Gateway’s Human Resources policy, in support of the Executive Director’s overall responsibility for Human Resources. The Operations Manager oversees procurement, operations contracting and asset management, within written policies

This position requires knowledge and experience of:  procurement, operations, human resources, financial management, business accounting and financial reporting, public sector accounting and procurement. Experience must include evidence of increasing financial responsibility.
