Location: Ramallah with some travel to Jerusalem and green line areas

Hours: Full time (40 hours per week)

Job Summary
The Operation Officer working for Elevation Ventures is a full-time position based in Ramallah. The Operation Officer should ensure the successful implementation of the daily tasks related to the projects implementation and procedures and handling the communication with the different stakeholders including donors and other relevant partners. The Operation Officer will ensure to follow the compliance and workplace ethics. Additionally, the Operation Officer will be responsible of the human resource monitoring and monthly financial reporting. The Operation Officer will report directly to the PM.
 
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Project Manager about day-to-day tasks related to the projects implementation and procedures.
  • Responsible for developing company policies and ensuring compliance according to our partners and donors guidelines specially USAID rules and regulations.
  • Improving business functionality to align with core business objectives.
  • Handling day-to-day accounting and financial reporting and submitting required monthly financial reports 
  • Promoting efficiency by implementing improved operational procedures.
  • Responsible for the communication with the different stakeholders and ensuring the positive relationship with our partners.
  • Monitoring adherence to policies and processes throughout the company.
  • Overseeing human resources development policies, training, and performance reviews.
Reporting functions:
  • Ensure all reports sent to donors are reviewed by senior management and presented in quality standards
  • Prepare monthly financial report for Elevation Ventures’ management to review, and ensure all partners reports are compiled and submitted on time
  • Ensure that all EV communication outlets are following the communication guidelines and procedures 
Communication functions
  • Ensure coordination with all project partners and stakeholders when necessary
  • Coordinate with other Elevation Ventures projects to exploit potential synergies

Job Requirements
Operations Officer Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in operations management, project management, strategic management, business management, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in an operations management position, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management and logistics planning.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to promote efficiency toward achieving business objectives and profitability.
  • Past experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably Bisan financial system 
  • Experience with budgets and financial reports, and monitoring expenses.
  • Past experience in developing human resources policies, and monitoring compliance and performance including timesheets monitoring and payroll accounting.
Personal and professional qualities
  • In-depth knowledge of the cross boarder business environment
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively work within a team of junior and senior professionals in a dynamic business environment
  • Experience in project management, planning, monitoring and evaluation
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to deal diplomatically and flexibly with a range of different people
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic
