Pharmacy Coordinator Assistant
Main Purpose:
Assist and support the Pharmacy Coordinator in the management of the medical supply process and medical stocks in the various projects of the Mission located in Gaza and in West Bank, by assuming some tasks delegated by him/her and giving personal assistance in other specific activities.
Accountabilities:
MEDICAL LOCAL PURCHASES
- Prepare the list of items for medical local purchases (LP) and send it to the Supply department (request for quotation - RFQ). Consolidate the quotations and prepare the internal requests (IR).
- Prepare and send all the source validation requests to HQ. Follow up with any extra Information they need for validation of the items.
- Follow the LP with the fields and the Supply department (delays, pendings, problematic items and unavailability)
- Manage/supervise the reception at capital level of locally ordered items according to the good pharmaceutical practices (quantity and quality checks)
- Manage the preparation of shipments (Labeling, packing list, organizing pallets...) and ensure good storage conditions (security, temperature/humidity, cleaning, pest control …)
- Support and recommend the Supply department for sourcing new suppliers for drugs, disposables, lab items in cooperation with the Pharmacy Coordinator, Regional Pharmacist and HQ in order to benchmark, evaluate and validate those suppliers and products. (local market assessment)
- Assist the Supply department preparing supplier contracts with selected suppliers based on newly updated medical standard list and consumption forecast provided by the pharma teams in the field.
TECHINCAL SUPPORT TO NABLUS PROJECT
- Act as the 1st Contact for technical support to NB pharmacy (inventory, back orders, orders follow up, claims, consumption follow up...) and physical support on request (for inventory, orders receptions…)
STOCKS MANAGEMENT IN JERUSALEM
- Follow the content of the staff health stocks (expat health boxes in each guesthouse, first aid kits in the cars, Medco box): inventory and refiling
- Follow the content of the EPREP kits (inventory, stock rotation)
- Collect Exp./Damaged items from Nablus and Jerusalem and encode them on a excel file, waiting for disposal.
This position is based in Jerusalem with some occasional visits to Nablus. A Jerusalem ID/Working permit is required.

Education
• Qualified Pharmacist
Registration with Palestinian Pharmaceutical Union is a plus.
Experience
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar role
• Experience with the Palestinian and Israeli supply system
Languages
• Excellent command of English, Arabic and Hebrew
Knowledge
• Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
