Photographer/Media Consultant

The Palestinian Health Sector Development and Reform Project (Flagship Project) is a project funded by USAID. The Project is seeking to recruit a Photographer/Media Consultant.

The objectives of this consultancy are to enhance the visibility of the Project’s activities and
achievements among the Palestinian people, through documentation in the form of photography,
video production, Arabic language press releases, articles and success stories for publication
and distribution among local media outlets.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities include
-Participate in field site visits and interact with necessary counterparts in order to develop photo library and to identify, write and finalize Arabic language success stories.
-Deliver high quality photographs of Project activities and beneficiaries on a regular basis.
-Produce 3-5 minute videos highlighting the impact of the Project’s work including: working with Knowledge Management Director and Project’s technical team to develop story;
schedule interviews and filming, and carry out all aspects of production and subtitling, in cooperation with Project staff as needed.
-Create Arabic language press releases, multimedia material, success stories, etc. to promote
the activities and initiatives of the Project.
-Facilitate coverage of Project activities in local print, electronic, TV and radio press outlets

Education, Qualifications and/or Equivalent Experience
-A university degree in journalism, communications, public relations, public policy, development,
or other related field.
-At least 5-7 years of experience in the fields of journalism, or in public relations/ communications
for international development agencies.
-Experience in professional photography
-Experience in Arabic writing, communications, journalism, or public relations required.
-Skilled in the all aspects of video production including story development, videography, production and editing.
-Past work with USAID funded programs preferred.
