Individual consultancy services- Photoshop for maps and archaeology photos Consultant
Introduction
An-Najah National University has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF) - Education to Work Transition Project - Ministry of Education and Higher Education, funded by the World Bank for the project entitled: Linking with the Private Tourism Sector: The Tourism and Archaeology Department Curriculum Reform.
This project is designed to improve the learning opportunities for department of Tourism and Archeology (TAA) students by gradually moving towards more experiential learning approaches in collaboration with the tourism sector institutions: public sector as the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in Palestine (MOTA), Nablus municipality, and the Palestinian Tourism Private Sector (PTPS)
Assignment Objective
An-Najah National University is now considering the selection of a professional and qualified expert trainer, who will work on training the project partners and the academic staff of the Tourism and Archaeology Department on the basicsof using the Photoshop and Adobe Illustratorsoftware in the various applications in Tourism and Archaeology, and producing records of archaeological artifacts and maps, to be used in the scientific research and publications.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The consultant will train four (4) academic staff of the department of Tourism and Archaeology and around 5 partners of the project, on the following themes:
- The basics of using Illustrators, Photoshop software in creating images and designs of the archeological locations and findings and maps.
- The basics of the art of photography and how to be used in Tourism and Archaeology field.
- Making the required treatment for the photos of the (landscapes, archaeological locations and sites or the archaeological findings and maps to facilitate the in-field and experimental research.
- Making the required treatment for the archaeological findings to be includedand used in the various publications, conferences or exhibitions.
Deliverables:
- Training Material. (In Arabic and English)
- (10)Training Sessions totaling completion of 30 training hours.
- Evaluation Report of the staff
- Final report including recommendation and findings.
Essential Required Qualifications:
- At least Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Tourism, Archaeology or any other related fieldfrom a recognized university with 5 years minimum work experience.
- Or Master's degree in,Architecture, Engineering, Tourism, Archaeology or any other related fieldfrom a recognized university with 3 years minimum work experience in the field.
- Experience with the use of Photoshop and Illustrator preferably in Tourism and Archaeology.
- Experience in photography.
- Proven experience in conducting similar training, at least two similar assignments.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Location of the training:
The training will be delivered in the university campus.
Level of effort
The level of effort for this evaluation consultation service is estimated as 10 working days/ 3 hours a day.
Contract Type: Lump Sum Contract.
