Caritas Jerusalem (CJ), a humanitarian and development organization representing the socio-pastoral services of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land, is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Physiotherapist (Percentage Basis)
Contract Period: 12 months with the possibility of extension(s)

Position Purpose:
As a Physiotherapist, your role involves planning and executing individualized physical treatment programs for patients, addressing issues related to physical functioning and pain relief. You conduct initial exams, evaluate data, and document patient problems and short-term treatment objectives. Your responsibilities include reviewing referrals, obtaining informed consent, and maintaining detailed records of treatment plans and progress. You discharge patients upon reaching goals, providing follow-up care instructions, educating patients and families, and assessing the need for assistive devices. Additionally, you conduct training sessions for families and caregivers on home exercises, ensuring the continued implementation of physical therapy post-discharge.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
- Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis before intervention.
- Identify and document patient problems, and treatment short-term objectives.
- Carry out plan of treatment items for patients and record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress, and data entry.
- Obtain patients' informed consent to proposed interventions.
- Review physician's referral and patient's medical records to help determine diagnosis and physical therapy treatment required.
- Discharge patients from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained and provide appropriate follow-up care or referrals.
- Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
- Provide educational information about physical therapy, injury prevention, or ways to promote health for the patient's family.
- Assess patient needs of assistive devices and refer to orthotist for splints manufacture.
- Conduct training to families/caregivers of beneficiaries on home basic follow-up exercises and ensure PT exercises are implemented after discharge.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
- Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible work experience in the field of Physical therapy.
- Candidates should obtain a professional license from the Ministry of Health.

- It is necessary to manage priorities and to adapt them daily according to the context.

- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English and Arabic.
- A resident of Ramallah Governorate.
- Computer literacy: Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
