Background: The Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association (PFPPA) established in Jerusalem in 1963, is an independent non-profit association enjoying a full membership of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). Its executive office is based in Jerusalem and it has six branches and youth centers spread throughout the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Mainly, PFPPA provides various services in Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH) where it offers training for young leaders and staff from other governmental and non-governmental organizations. Moreover, it provides, inter alia, unique medical services in women health, laboratory tests, counseling, awareness raising, advocating SRH rights and women rights, conducting applied research and organizing lobbying and advocacy campaigns to influence the national policies. PFPPA is
seeking a qualified, experienced, results oriented and innovative individual to work in a two years
project aimed at contributing to the overall improvement of adolescent sexual and reproductive health (SRH) by increasing the accessibility and capability of young people (from both sexes) aged (15-25) years old to a broad range of quality Youth Friendly Services and SRH education and decision-making in addition to reduce the community barriers towards gender equality and ASRH&R.

Job Title: Project Manager
Duration : 15 months.

Net Salary: 1300 USD

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

-Oversee and guide implementation of project by providing oversight to the field team in their daily activities to ensure that project deliverable is met.
-Ensure that the project is implemented within the stipulated budget and timeframe and expenditures are made with stewardship, efficiency and effectiveness as guiding principle.
-Maintain quality through compliance with PFPPA standards.
-Provide leadership and support to ensure high quality and timely project implementation
-Develop and maintain links with NGOs, local governmental departments, etc.
-Develop and maintain links with young people and their gatekeepers.
-Provide support to field staff by frequent visits to field sites and communities
-Developing and monitoring plans, indicator tracking tables are accurate and up-to-date.
-Develop and maintain requested forms for monitor purposes and beneficiaries’ satisfaction.
-Ensure periodic reports are submitted to PFPPA Programmes Director in timely manner meeting reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

-B.A in social Sciences, Development studies and Public health.
-Over 5 years Project management experience in health, youth and Community Development projects.
-Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
-Ability to lead a multi-cultural team with an empowering and outcome oriented approach.
-Ability to work in a team environment with management skills
-Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
-Good communication and Time Management skills
-Ability to work with minimum supervision and under pressure in a decentralized environment.
-Excellent experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, power point…etc) and internet.
-Excellent command of the English language with strong writing and communication skills.
-Holder of Jerusalem ID.
