The Danish Representative Office in Ramallah is seeking to recruit a Political Officer on a local contract. We are looking for a flexible, self-motivated and results-oriented colleague who is keen on joining the team and working for Denmark in Palestine. The position as Political Officer is a unique opportunity to take part in the important work that Denmark does in Palestine.
Main tasks and responsibilities as Political Officer
* Monitor and report on political developments in Palestine within areas of particular interest to Denmark, including domestic and foreign policy developments.
* Outreach and network building in Palestine to support Danish Government interests.
* Contribute to the organisation and preparation of delegations to and from Denmark.
* Ensure adequate communication of the DRO's activities on website and social media as well as contribute to public diplomacy activities in order to raise awareness of the Danish engagement.

Required qualifications:
* Formal education, which corresponds to completed university studies attested by a BA/ B.Sc. in a relevant field such as political science, public relations, journalism or equivalent
* Minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant professional experience
* Excellent command of English, both oral and written
* Computer literacy in key software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Strong planning skills, capable of producing high quality results within often tight deadlines
* Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the Palestinian political landscape and media environment
* Ability to build and maintain networks
* Team player as well as interest in and willingness to share knowledge with – and learn from – colleagues
* Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the Danish Representative Office
Employment conditions:
* You will be offered a full-time employment on a local contract based on the Staff Rules of the Mission and the relevant legally binding labour market rules of Palestine.
* Your standard working hours will be 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with possible adjustments based on the needs of the office.
* Your salary will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related results.
