“Portfolio Officer”
For the Portfolio and Policy Management Unit (PMU).
In your function as Portfolio Officer you will work closely together and support the Portfolio Manager.
Responsibilities and tasks are such as:
Supporting external and internal communications
PR Handouts, GIZ Country Brochure, Website, various PR materials, Power Point Presentations etc.
Liaison with local press
Information mails, Welcome Folder
Supporting Policy Management
Gathering and informing about current policies (national and international e.g. general IC discussions, climate, migration, security, EU, cooperation with the private sector, Paris Declaration, etc)
Preparation of policy topics for the Senior Meeting and for other occasions
Elaboration of regular Policy Information Newsletter
Event and Workshop Management
Thematic workshops
Staff meeting organization
Annual Events
Follow-up of Annual Planning
Assistance in meetings of Country Director and Program Directors
Preparation of briefings, documentation, etc.
Supporting Quality Management
Required qualifications:
University degree in the fields of Communications, Media, Social Sciences or a similar field;
First professional experience in working with international organizations in the field of development cooperation;
Fluency in English and German (oral and written), knowledge in Arabic would be an asset
Ability to work effectively in a team;
Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills;
Driving license.
Assignment: expected starting date May 2011.
