ActionAid is an international organization, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid Palestine is a part of the ActionAid International Federation and ActionAid Australia.

ActionAid is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Preparedness and response Humanitarian Inspirator for 10 months period. The post location is in Global platform, Bethlehem.

The objective of this position is to Help and support global platform team in implementing trainings and initiatives in term of preparedness and emergency, including but not limited to building the capacity of GP volunteers in emergency and preparedness through trainings, create and lead humanitarian campaigns and help them connect with GP volunteers.

Start Date: Immediately.

The key responsibilities areas for this position are as follows:

  • conduct emergency and preparedness capacity building activities including: training , workshops , and campaigns  for youth groups and GP volunteers.
  • lead humanitarian campaigns that aim to increase people resilience in area C, refugees camps, Norther valley and East Jerusalem
  • develop and conduct trainings within the specific thematic focus of GP Palestine. facilitate and conduct training, sessions and workshops for local youth.
  • support GP team in emergency and preparedness activities as needed.
  • build and support developing localized humanitarian work approach.

Job Requirements

Eligible applicants are required to have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, emergency management, emergency preparedness, agricultural Engineering, public administration, public health,

  • At least 3 years of experience in emergency, preparedness, Resilience / or social community field.
  • At least two years’ experience in training domain.
  • Very good training skills and training developments.
  • Excellent mobilization and organizational skills.
  • A great level of an awareness of the Palestinian context.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and representation skills.
  • work and complete tasks in coordinate with supervisor
  • work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • ability to travel frequently within Palestine.
  • Proficient understanding of the resilience principles within the field of humanitarian efforts.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work with the youth and colleagues in an equal and respectful manner where shared learning is essential.
