The ELCJHL’s Office of the Director of Education announces the following vacancy:
“Principal for the Evangelical Lutheran School in “Beit-Sahour”.
The requirements and job description are as listed below:
An evangelical Lutheran School “Principal” is directly responsible to the ELCJHL’s “Director of Education”. He reports to the ELCJHL Director of Education and to the relevant ELCJHL committees through the ELCJHL Director of Education.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in administration.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in teaching.
- Fluency in Arabic and English. German fluency is an asset.
- Excellent public relations and communication skills.
- Very good information technology and computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Internet and E-mail.
-Very good fundraising, proposal writing and reporting skills.
- Strong character and leadership skills.
- Good health.
Responsibilities:
To oversee the management of the School and insure the implementation of the School’s “Strategic Plan” reflecting the Evangelical Lutheran Schools’ vision, mission, purpose, goals and educational philosophy.
A detailed job description will be presented to the candidates likely to be interviewed.
Applicants must submit the following two documents:
1- A letter (minimum 2 pages and maximum 4 pages), which reflects the applicant’s educational philosophy as well as his/her philosophy regarding sound and effective school management. This document must be in English.
2- The applicant’s resume in English.
