AMIDEAST, an international non-profit organization in the West Bank and Gaza, is seeking full-time dynamic and qualified candidates for its USAID funded education program-Model Schools Network (MSN) Program to serve as Training Coordinators, and Training Assistant for its Professional Development Section, and Procurement and Logistic Officer
- Hebron for its Procurement Section. The program is currently providing school teachers in 17 private schools with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach math, science and grades 1-3 more effectively within the Palestinian context. The program will be expanding to include 40 public schools in various geographical locations in the West Bank; AMIDEAST is recruiting for the following position:

Procurement and Logistic Officer - Hebron
The Procurement and Logistic Officer will be responsible for the planning and administration of the procurement and logistics of commodities, services and supplies procured by the Model Schools Network Program for the benefit of different schools in Hebron and Bethlehem. The position is based in AMIDEAST’s office in Hebron. The Procurement and Logistic Officer will help local schools finalize their procurement plans, administer tenders and request for quotations in accordance to USAID and AMIDEAST regulations. He/ she will also administer the contracts preparation with the vendors and manage the required logistics including receiving, delivery and distribution of the commodities and services.

Overall Position Responsibilities:
-Work with the beneficiary schools to finalize their needs including quantities and specifications of commodities and supplies.
-Develop procurement plans of commodities and supplies
-Implement the procurement activities in accordance to USAID and AMIDEAST regulations.
-Prepare the tender documents including the bill of quantities and specifications
-Manage and administer the tenders and request for quotations including the advertisement, bid review and analysis
-Liaise and coordinate with the local vendors, companies and relevant local authorities.
-Develop, manage and maintain tracking system for the deliveries’ schedule of the procured commodities
-Set up delivery plans and coordinate with the local and overseas vendors the delivery of all of the procured commodities to AMIDEAST warehouses and to the beneficiary schools.
-Assure proper shipping, handling and receive of all of the procured commodities
-Assure proper storage of the procured commodities in accordance to the international standards
-Liaise and coordinate with the shipping agencies, clearing agents and transportation companies.

Minimum Qualifications and Required skills:
-A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or related field
-3-5 years of experience in procurement administration and management
-Experience in logistic management is preferred
-Ability to multi- task and prioritized responsibilities
-Excellent inter personal skills
