World Vision Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza is seeking a:
Procurement Officer
Procurement Officer
The successful candidate will:
Contribute towards the provision of a WVJ procurement service providing advice, management and co-ordination of procurement related activities across a wide range and value of contracts, including building and non-building related contracts.
Deliver specific procurement processes for service, supplies and facilities management contracts.
Ensure that contracts are procured and awarded in accordance with WVJ Procurement Manual.
Manage and co-ordinate WVJ responsibilities in relation to procurement reporting and record keeping.
Ensure that continuous improvement within the WVJ procurement system is conducted in accordance with the principles of Best Value through evaluating performance of all contracts, contractors’, consultants and WVJ activities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field
-Minimum three years’ experience in procurement management or procurement related
environment
- Excellent communication skills (English & Arabic), both verbal and written, including the
ability to compile reports for senior managers in relation to complex technical and contractual matters in a logical, clear and concise manner.
- Good standard of computer and data manipulation and interpretation skills – particularly in relation to financial, project management and technical applications
- Highly developed and proven project management skills such as: target setting, resource
allocation, financial management, performance monitoring, achievement of outputs.
- Ability to think clearly, deeply, and broadly and develop innovative strategies with good
knowledge of standard forms of building contracts
- Developed organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work at a senior level and to contribute proactively in a team environment
- Thorough knowledge of current practice and developments in relation to relevant aspects of the construction and / or procurement business
- Autonomous, self-motivated, and demonstrating a high level of accountability
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
- Driver›s license for travel between Jerusalem and the West Bank
- Integrity and strong identification with World Vision Core Values
- Position is based in Jerusalem
