Procurment Manager
Job Description
Reporting directly to the department director and will be responsible for developing and managing appropriate procurement strategies and implementation to ensure best practice and value added. Is also responsible for the whole procurement process from planning phase till contracts closure in accordance to the company's policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-The position requires significant hard work with ability to deliver under high pressure to meet deadlines.
This position activities includes but not limited to the following:
-Plans, directs, and manages the central procurement activities!
-Identify the annual requirements of materials and services needed by the company in coordination with the directors of departments;
-Implement procurement policies and procedures adopted by the company;
-Develops, reviews, and approves new or improved administrative, purchasing, and clerical procedures to maintain economy and efficiency of operation-,
-Contracts administration and process all needed approvals-,
-Evaluates overall revisions, price and past performance of each contract and monitor price increases;
-Researches and evaluates commodity areas and makes recommendations for standardization and additions to Qualified Products List;
-Supervises and participates in the preparation of written financial and administrative reports-,
-Interprets contract provisions and reviews contracts for accuracy and changes prior to bid and renewal;
-Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times,
-streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless service.
-Maintains liaison with purchasing representatives of suppliers-,
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Procurement methods and procedures of a large scale centralized purchasing function including buying, quality assurance, contract administration and contract law.
-Various grades, qualities, and varieties of materials, supplies, and equipment.
-Office management principles, practices, and procedures.
-Laws, rules, regulations, FIDIC, and international procurement standards
-Accounting practices as applied to procurement procedures.
