Role Summary and Duties & Responsibilities:
The role is within the Product & Services team within the Marketing department and responsible for the management of handsets, devices, SIMs, Scratch cards, and e-Recharge systems solutions, in addition to business development projects such as 3G, WIFI and mobile apps.
-Supporting the development of marketing strategies and coordinating actions to influence the market.
-Managing new Business development projects, to assure launching in time and avoiding any opportunities loss.
-Developing and managing Products annual plan and budget.
-Achieving related targeted cost optimization by offering acquiring lower cost handsets
-Managing vendors business relations and work closely with them
-Working closely with supply chain functions in the management of vendors and vendor selection as appropriate.
-Building business module (business cases) and feasibility studies for new projects / business opportunities to measure their positive/negative impact on WM financial and market situation, including profitability studies per project.
-Interfacing with technical/IT departments to define, coordinate and manage the business needs, the technical feasibility, and the implementation and launch probably measures.
-Following-up on the entire launched project and evaluate them in terms of meeting/achieving targets.
-Managing the products in terms of availability in the different channels
-Provide day-to-day coordination; monitor product performance and coordinate resolution of issues.
-Providing Management with the needed related reports.
Work Experience and Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years of Products / Services experience in GSM telecommunications.
-BA degree in Telecommunication Engineering/Business related area.
-Knowledge of fixed and/or mobile telecoms products and IT systems, and understanding of environment and market, particularly in the area of technology, billing, IN, voice services, data and VAS.
-Financial knowledge and Ability to develop and manage business models & business cases.
-Sound understanding of contractual terms and vendor management.
Personal Traits & Skills:
-Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English/able to work in an English speaking environment.
-PC literate, with knowledge of spreadsheets.
-Creative and flexible approach to project based activity.
-Reporting skills.
-Demonstrated Team work and communication skills.
