AMIDEAST, an international non-profit organization in the West Bank and Gaza, is seeking qualified candidates for its USAID funded education program-Model Schools Network (MSN) Program. AMIDEAST is recruiting for the following  position:

Professional Development Specialist
AMIDEAST seeks a full-time senior-level Professional Development Specialists (PDS) in a new position to work with existing MSN staff. Responsibilities include overseeing the quality and coherence of the training components for school teachers and principals, liaison work with the Ministry of Education and university providers, manage all logistics and administration associated with training related activities.
Applicants should have the following credentials and experience:
• Experience implementing/managing basic education quality improvement programs on an international education sector projects
• Native Arabic speaker with strong spoken and written English
• Experience with innovative school strategic planning
• Experience with school improvement/reform processes
• Experience with K-12 curriculum development in English, or math and science
• Experience with development of materials, workshops, and training modules for replication within a school network
• Experience in teacher training.
• Experience introducing ICTs in instruction preferred
• Understanding of public and private Palestinian school systems
• Experience in teaching.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with proven track record of managing relationships with a diverse range of partners, staff, and donors
• Master degree in education or relevant field required
