Program Advisor

Job Description
The Representative Office of Norway to the Palestinian Authority (NRO) is seeking experienced professional to the position as Program Advisor at its office in Dahiet al Bareed, Al Ram, for a temporary period until 31. August 2013. The assignment might be prolonged or transferred into a
permanent position. Start date is flexible for the right candidate. NRO has 23 employees, including 10 diplomats. Total Norwegian financial support to Palestinians was approximately USD 140 million
in 2011. In addition to political reporting and analysis NRO is active in fields of development as energy, education, water, health, human rights, governance, gender, culture and economic development. The person hired will work within some of these sectors according to qualifications and the needs of NRO.

Main Responsibilities
1-Program development, follow up, monitoring and evaluation
2-Strategic development analysis
3-Prepare reports for projects activities

Qualifications and requirements
1-University degree in related field
2-Demonstrated experience of project administration, preferably in an international agency / mission
3-Knowledge about the Palestinian society
4-Good written, oral and communication skills in English
5-Knowledge of Norwegian and Arabic languages
6-Good knowledge of Word and Excel
7-Capacity to work as a team member
8-Ability to work under pressure
