Position Title: Program Coordinator - Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Business

PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:
Mercy Corps (MC) is a non-profit, non-aligned, secular non-governmental (NGO) humanitarian
relief and development organization, registered in the United States and Scotland with offices in more than 40 countries around the world, including the West Bank and Gaza, where the organization has been active in implementing relief and development programs for nearly a decade. Mercy Corps ‘West Bank and Gaza’ has staff based in East Jerusalem, Ramallah and Gaza City offices that implement programs throughout the Palestinian territories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provides overall support to ICT development program in West Bank and neighboring countries.
-Coordinates logistics for and participates in business-to-business introductions, conferences, and
other business events (in West Bank, Jerusalem, and other locations)
-Coordinate visits by multinational corporations and consultants to participate in ICT related
missions in West Bank.
-Maintains the Outsource2Palestine website, Facebook and LinkedIn groups.
-Regularly conducts field visits to the project sites to monitor ongoing work (in West Bank and Tel Aviv).
-Generates verbal and written translations of pertinent project documentation as needed/required.
-Participates in relevant (external and internal) project evaluations and/or needs assessments.
-Works cooperatively with Mercy Corps staff, local community, partner NGOs, and other parties.
-Liaises and coordinates with other Mercy Corps departments as needed.
-Performance of work beyond normal office hours as required, without additional compensation.
-Conducts himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit
to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
-Other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
-University degree; IT, computer engineering or relevant field preferred.
-At least two years experience working in ICT technologies, preferably developing applications,
softer testing and working on iOS or Android.
-Knowledge of Google Technologies.
-Knowledgeable about trends in local and global IT market.
-Proven skills in strategic planning, assessment, training organization, monitoring and evaluation.
-Excellent communication, organizational and prioritization skills and ability to multi-task and
support and/or fill multiple positions at one time.
-Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work both
independently and cooperatively with the team members.
-Understanding of the social, political, and economic context of Palestinian territories, especially
in the West Bank.
-Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic.
-Proficiency in MS Office.
