Mercy Corps is a non-profit, non-governmental international humanitarian and development organization. Mercy Corps in partnership with Save the Children are implementing a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded, Vocational Training and Education Development (VTED) Program. The VTED Program is a four year program that aims at developing the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) League institutions’ organizational and training capacity and strengthening and diversifying the skills of young Palestinians. Through participation in the program, young Palestinians will be able to contribute to the Palestinian economy and their families’ livelihoods. Mercy Corps is currently recruiting for the following fulltime position based in Ramallah.
Program Coordinator
Main Responsibilities: The ICT TVET Program Coordinator will provide administrative and
programmatic assistance and expertise for the VTED Program in the field of TVET development. The Program Coordinator will provide effective and efficient support to the program staff to ensure smooth program implementation including administrative, logistical, procurement, and information management support. The Program Coordinator will also work closely with other VTED Program partners to ensure effective implementation of the program’s activities.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Social Science or other relevant fields.
- Prior working experience in Information Technology, vocational training fields and/or project administration and procurement is a plus.
- Knowledge of TVET system in Palestine is desirable.
-Proficiency in computer applications and information technology.
- Understanding of international development assistance field, including international NGOs’ and funding agencies regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English and Arabic languages.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in an effective and efficient manner, and good attention
to details.
- Applicants must be able to work independently as well as in teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to generate reports and coordinate meetings and workshops.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with program staff and partners.
-Possession of a valid driving license is desired.
