Program Coordinator
The USAID-funded Compete Project implemented by DAI aims to strengthen the competitiveness and export potential in the areas of Agriculture and Agribusiness, Stone and Marble, Tourism, and Information Technology. The project is providing technical assistance to business service organizations in these sectors to improve sales, income, and employment.
DAI is seeking highly qualified candidates for the following position:
Position 2: PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Location: Gaza
Role
The Program Coordinator will work with the Gaza team members to implement project activities in Gaza and ensure proper reporting.
Responsibilities:
-Working with Compete staff to implement project activities including preparation of workshops, training, data collection, and other tasks as assigned by the Gaza Business Advisors.
-Working with Compete staff to monitor project activities for reporting that will include monthly briefs and annual impact reports.
-Ensuring all project activities are entered into Compete TAMIS (Technical and
Management Information System) database and are updated and shared as needed.
-Producing highlight reports on events or special activities completed by the Gaza Unit.
-Assisting with the preparation of trip schedules for consultants and following up on the logistics and arrangements.
-Supporting the implementation of Gaza program.
-Assisting the day-to-day operations of the Gaza unit including specific assignments from the Business Advisor to oversee and coordinate certain programs.
Requirements:
-Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in economics, business or related field preferred.
-At least 3 years of relevant experience or Diploma in office management.
-Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
-Good knowledge of email and internet usage is required.
-High level of interpersonal and diplomatic skills required.
-Previous work experience in West Bank/ Gaza or the Middle East desired.
