Mercy Corps

Mercy Corps is a non-profit, non-governmental international humanitarian and development organization. Building on four years of experience supporting information and communication technology (ICT) sector and youth development in West Bank and Gaza, Mercy Corps, is working in strategic partnership with Google, and other local and international partners to spur innovation and catalyze income generation opportunities for Palestinian youth software developers and entrepreneurs. The YES Program provides technical and business development training, mentoring and international support, and seed investment to entrepreneurs and developers.

Mercy Corps is currently recruiting for the following fulltime position based in Ramallah.
Program Manager 

Main Responsibilities: The Program Manager will provide leadership, oversight, technical consultation and expertise for the implementation of YES/ADNI program in the West Bank.  S/he will maintain a high level vision of the synergies and areas of intersection between Mercy Corps’ other interventions toward building a Tech ecosystem. The Program Manage will work closely with senior management on all aspects of program design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation, and will at times be asked to participate in donor briefings and meetings.  S/he will also help to nurture and expand a network of local partners and insure Mercy Corps’ leadership role in the ICT sector in West Bank. The Program Manager will provide leadership and strategy for creation of Mercy Corps ICT strategy, provide support for entrepreneurs, early stage startups and established companies. 


Qualifications:
-Degree in a computer science, business management, or other relevant field;
-5-6 year experience working in international development and/or working for profit in IT world,
-Experience managing IT startups, IT Company, is preferred.
-Solid experience working on entrepreneurship and business development, investment, capacity building and training;
-Familiarity with Palestinian technology sector, context and main players;
-Excellent oral and written English and Arabic skills;
-Strong computer skills and understanding of social media and mobile applications;
-Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work both independently and cooperatively with team members.
