Vacancy Announcement
A local NGO based in Jerusalem is looking for a:
program officer.
Responsibilities:
- Submit proposals for potential grants or funds.
- Design and execute program monitoring methods.
- Communicate information about the organization to policymakers, target communities, providers, organizations supporters, and the general public.
- Some administrative duties related to the above responsibilities.
Qualifications:
-Good understanding of how nonprofit, Nongovernmental organizations operate.
- Strong analytic and communication skills, ability to write clearly and succinctly under time pressure and to make well organized verbal presentations.
-Excellent knowledge in proposal writing.
- The ability to think creatively and strategically about the broad goals of the organization, while remaining focused on the detail-oriented work and follow-through required by the position.
-Excellent written command of English and Arabic language.
- Three or more year’s relevant experience in youth sector.
-Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
Personal Qualities
The successful candidate will be a smart, high-energy, self-motivated
and self-confident person. S/he will have the ability to
work as a team member in a collegial workplace where wellthought
out opinions and give and take are expected and encouraged.
A sense of humor and a constructive outlook are a plus.
Salary commensurate with experience.
