Program Officer

 

Qualifications:

 

Education: BA degree in development studies, public health, social science or equivalent, MA is desirable.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

 

-Good conceptual and practical skill in designing grants and privately funded program and projects with logical frame-work.

-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.

-Ability to write and review grants reports.

-Actively identify funding opportunities with local and international institutions.

-Skills on critically reviewing secondary data.

-Facilitation skill/ skill to transfer the learning.

-Decision making and problem solving skills.

-Work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities>

-Basic computer knowledge of using MS Word and MS Excel.

-Understanding of integrated community development approaches, issues and development trends.

-Knowledge on SPSS,MS Access, and other databases.

 

 

Experiences:

 

-Minimum 4 years working experience in similar position in project cycle management /community development field in a development and relief context.

-Practical experience to design project and program designs.

-Work experience in bilateral funded project.

 

Work Environment:

 

-Position requires regular visits to the field with ability to travel within the geographic areas of

the AAH programming coverage areas.

-Position will work directly with programme/ project staff and implementing partners.

-Work load may require work beyond regular office time under pressure and multi-task.

-Child friendly working environment.
