Job Description
The Gaza Community Mental health Programme-GCMHP is a non-governmental non- profit association rendering community mental health services, conducts studies and research on different psychosocial phenomena, and designs and implements training programs for mental health professionals. GCMHP would like to announce for the following positions:
Programs Manager (1 post)
Primary responsibility: To develop and administer planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of GCMHP projects/programmes in accordance with the organization's mandate.
Knowledge and experience:
-Holds a Masters Degree (or equivalent education) preferably in the fields of Management/Administration or other relevant social sciences.
-Has at least 10 years experience in managing health programmes. He/she has extensive experience managing programmes funded by a diversity of sources including: aid agencies and, international donors.
-Has strong leadership quality with ability to garner team work conflict management.
-Has strong Arabic & English Language skills.
-Has analytical, proposals, reports writing and essential computer skills.
-Has demonstrated fundraising, negotiation and conflict management skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1-Lead development and implementation of GCMHP programme planning.
2-Prepare and facilitate signing of program grant agreements/ MOUs pertaining to both donors/ partners to GCMHP and GCMHP to partners/beneficiaries.
3-Coordinate development of GCMHP’s Strategic Plans in collaboration with the Director General and Directors of Departments and staff.
4-Develop action plans or implementation plans for GCMHP within the framework of the strategic plan, in collaboration with the Director General, project officer and directors of departments.
5-Organize mid-term and final reviews of the implementation of strategic plans.
6-Develop GCMHP’s fundraising plans in collaboration with Board of Director, Director General and staff.
7-Develop, update and orient program staff to GCMHP project cycle management including program procedures and reporting mechanisms.
8-Ensure the development and implementation of annual unit targets and update Director General on the achievements of the targets.
9-Keep the Director General informed and updated on all programme matters.
Employment/Contracting: One year with possible extension, the first three months is a probationary period.
