Programs Officer
ActionAid is an international organisation, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid Palestine is a part of the ActionAid International Federation and ActionAid Australia.
ActionAid is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Programs Officer for 12 months period(extendable). The post location is Hebron.
Start Date: immediately.
The key responsibilities for this position will be as follows:
-Contribute in Awareness raising and mobilisation of community members in each of the target communities to engage in the development of their community through the establishment/strengthening of community organisations, including organisations of women, youth and children.
-Support the community to develop community development plans and ensure that the planning process, the plans and activities are inclusive of all the community including women, youth, children, people with disability, older people and any other vulnerable or marginalised group within the community
-Ensure the integration of child focused activities into the work with the community
-Manage and monitor the budget for the Local Rights Programme (LRP) Area
-Monitor programme implementation and measure programme effectiveness including the conduct of annual Participatory Review and Reflection Processes (PRRP)
-Lead and contribute to the production of the required programme reports and the annual plan
-Develop tools and formats for planning, monitoring and evaluation in close cooperation with AAP M&E Officer. Support programme staff and local partners in application of these tools
-Liaise with implementing partners to ensure the timely submission of - reports
-Conduct field visits as required to verify project activities relative to stated targets of the community and/or in Logical Framework
Eligible applicants are required to have the following qualifications and skills:
-Bachelor's degree in development studies or any related field.
-Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in the field of programme Management, implementation and project activities
-Experience working with international and local partners
-Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
-Very good written and oral communication skills in English and fluency in Arabic
-Good personal, communication and team coordination skills
-Excellent organizing skills and ability to work independently
-High level of integrity
