Palestinian Belgian Cooperation “ E-Learning Curriculum
in the Primary and Secondary Education in Palestine”

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in cooperation with the Belgian Development
Agency -BTC, is seeking qualified candidates for a half time Project Assistant Post in the area of
e-learning in Palestine

1-Location Duration:
The Project Assistant will be based in Ramallah (Ministry of Education and Higher Education) with
frequent field visits to the Palestinian Governorates for the overall project duration. 2-Task description:
-Follow up workshops preparations as invitations, locations, transportations, location set up, printing materials, workshops schedule and any other needed preparation.
-Provide continuous encouragement and technical support (help desk) for active teachers/
student groups developing their self-initiated e-content, which will serve as input for dynamic part of the Portal.
-Help the project management team and the school in the implementation of the initiatives initiated by the schools and implemented in the schools.
-Execute first screening of received proposals from schools and provide summary overview of them.
-Monitor projects implementation of school projects through field visits.
-Follow up quarterly report received from schools and any needed help or support.
-Collect lessons learned from executed projects for dissemination purposes and refine call.
-Supervise and organize the logistics for the training on e-learning.
-Conduct awareness rising sessions on the best practices amongst e-modules initiated and
developed by teachers, in order to facilitate peer-to-peer stimulation and networking between practitioners in cooperation with PMT and field coordinators
-Execute all other duty that are awarded to him/her in relation with project activities

3-Required profile He/She should have:
-A university degree in a related field;
-An experience as a teacher, trainer or researcher in education, ICT or engineering;
-A good knowledge of primary and secondary education where knowledge of e-learning is an asset;
-Has the ability to write clear and concise reports and other administrative and technical documents;
-Has good communication, presentation and facilitation skills;
-Arabic as his/her mother tongue and a good level of spoken and written English;
-Uses easily the standard information technology tools;

4-Expected output and outcomes of the Assistant‘s services Regular follow ups, field visits, regular monitoring, reporting to the concerned parties, and support to the project over all activities and schools related issues in specific.
