Project Assistant
Job Description
American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), a development, assistance and humanitarian
aid organization working in Palestine since 1968, is announcing the position “Project
Assistant” based in its Ramallah office, under a research project in Knowledge management/
Knowledge sharing for the benefit of farmers. This position is a one year part time job (18
hours per week).
Educational Background and Experience Requirements:
-A university degree in business administration, media or related fields;
-Minimum two years of experience in support program activities within an NGO environment. Past work experience with international grants would be an asset;
-Experience in taking minutes, and preparing presentations;
-Demonstrated skills in project monitoring and follow-up;
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
-Strong computer skills;
-Fluent written and oral English and Arabic;
-Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and meet deadlines;
-Experience in web posting and managing website content;
-Experience in digital photography and video filming skills is a plus;
-Ability to travel in the West Bank.
General Duties:
-Collect and assemble data and update information on the project status for analysis and reporting purposes;
-Assist in verifying all supporting documents submitted by all parties involved in the project and keep files and other documentation for the project;
-Undertake, coordinate and facilitate field visits to project sites and activities for follow up purposes;
-ssist in preparing minutes of meetings, periodic and progress reports of the project;
-Assist in preparing tender documents and bidding as needed for the project;
-Enter data collected from the field for research purposes using Excel and SPSS software;
-Provide assistance in loading documents, videos, photos on websites and follow up on social media;
-Ensure quality control and precision of uploads;
-Logistics coordination for events like conferences, workshops and training activities in West Bank;
