Project assistant for the olive oil department
PFU is a non profit organization established in 1993 which gathers around 9.500 members organized in 16 regional farmers associations disseminated all over the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
PFU as a professional Union aims at defending and promoting the legitimate vocational rights and the interests of Palestinian farmers.
Within the framework of the “Olive Oil Export Promotion Project” funded by the French Agency for Development (AFD), PFU is to reinforce its olive oil department by hiring a project assistant.
Job Description
Role of project assistant:
The project assistant will assist the coordinators of the olive oil department in manageing of projects.
Tasks of project assistant:
1- Administrative work
- Preparation and follow-up of invoices
- Follow-up of human resources issues related to the staff of the olive oil department
2- Reporting
- Collecting, reviewing and organizing monthly reports of the olive oil program staff
- Preparation of internal reports
- Preparation of activity reports to donors
3- Translation
- Translation of documents of the olive oil department
Duration
The position is open from September, 15th 2009 until December 31st, 2010 with a possibility of extension.
Location
The project assistant will work PFU headquarter in Ramallah.
Profile of the project assistant
- At least B.A degree in Business and Administration or other relevant fields
- A previous experience in administration and/or project management
- Excellent writing skills
- Well organized
- Very good command in English language
- Capacity to work in a team in the same time being autonomous at work
- Good contact and communication skills
Basic salary (minimum) 700 US $ per month,
