“Project Coordinator” for its Telemedicine Project (75%)
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
-Implementation of the project’s work plan, in coordination with ORF and the Ministry of Health (MoH)
-Follow-up on activities in the work plan
-Produce project reports and updates for submission to GIZ ORF
-Provide advice and support on fundraising and sustainability efforts
-Liaise with other projects in the same area, e.g. Flagship (USAID)
-Coordinate and prepare work meetings for and with GIZ ORF, Charité Berlin, MoH international and national consultants.
-Ensure functioning of the telemedicine software application
-Coordinate with MoH technical staff and projects partners of Charité Berlin for transferring the second server to Ramallah
-Collect comments from physicians on the software application by preparing and distributing a questionnaire at the beginning and the end of the project
-Encourage physicians to use the application and help them with technical problems
-Draw lists of needed technical devices for using the software application
-Network set-up and implementation
-Keep the network databases updated
-Actively search for new members from Palestine and Jordan
-Contribute to the set-up of a Steering Committee for the telemedicine network, ensuring and reporting on their activities( ex: regular quarterly meetings)
-Provide logistic and technical support for Steering Committee activities
-Assist the Steering Committee in ensuring transparency and information sharing with all members
-Inform network members regularly about latest achievements (e.g. newsletter, etc.)
Event management
-Organise workshops and network meetings
-Organise technical visits to hospitals in the Palestinian Territories and Amman
-Organise trainings for physicians in the Palestinian Territories and Amman
-Other tasks as designated by the ORF Programme Advisor, ORF Head of Programme and MoH in mutual coordination
-Contract management for telemedicine
-Communicate with local suppliers to get offers and ask about the available devices in the
local markets in continuous coordination with technical advisors from 3iii
-Follow up internally on the process of issuing contracts and needed requirements
-Develop ToR for service providers and consulting companies (e.g. Suse Linux Training) and assist in preparing contracts
-Report on agreements and contracts from consultants and get feedback about their work from direct beneficiaries of the project (MoH doctors)
Required qualifications:
-BA/BSc, preferably in public health administration.
-3-5 years experience working in project management, preferably in the health sector.
-High-level project management, communication and networking skills.
-Advanced experience with software applications
-Preferably native Arabic speaker, fluent written and spoken English is required.
-Ability to travel to Jordan
The engagement will be for 75%, starting from 10 March 2013.
