Responsibilities:
Al-Mada is looking for a Project Coordinator to work on an arts-based youth project in Ramallah and Jerusalem. Under the supervision of the Al-Mada’s executive director, and its standards, procedures, specifications and codes, the coordinator shall be responsible for:
-Planning, designing and organizing and follow up all project’s activities and events, and maintain accurate and up-to-date actions with regards to implemented activities, track responses and advise the director of the status of the project.
-Administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to, database maintenance, contracts/payments, partners follow-up, networking and reporting;
-Playing an active role in community outreach, liaison, and networking with partners, participants, and local community groups,
-Encouraging participation in, and advocate for cultural activities.
-Attend project coordination meetings as requested or required.
-Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by the director and the technical advisor.
-In close coordination with finance team, monitor and track the budget, and gather information necessary to report to donor/s on current and/or completed grant programs.
-Provide regular written updates/reports to donors in both Arabic and English.
-Assist with special activities that increase Al-Mada’s visibility, including proper follow up of Al-Mada’s website and media.
Qualifications:
-University degree in business administration, management, social science, or other related fields.
-At Least three years experience in administrative work related to project management / coordination in Civil Society organizations
-Back ground knowledge, experience, and /or artistic skills in any artistic field is an asset.
-High organizational and follow up skills
-Excellent Communication and negotiation skills.
-Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
-Ability to operate standard computer soft ware.
-Holder of Jerusalem ID, preferably living in Ramallah
-Ability to work on own initiative as well as a part of a team.
-Energetic and able to work under stressful conditions meeting strict deadlines.
