Project Coordinator
World Vision is an international Christian humanitarian aid agency working with the most marginalized and poor communities of the world.
The aim of “Children Participation and Learning” project is to empower children and adolscents to become agents of change in their families and society and establishing community structures and networks that deliver sustainable services to them. The goal will be achieved by building their life skills and institutionalizing their participation and involvement in the community. Coordination will be done with the vetted CBOs that will facilitate the project implementation. Additionally, pre-existing local committees and women groups will be involved to ensure the project is understood within the community and to encourage community leadership acceptance. Children empowerement is based on creating new generations that are able to advocate for their rights through leading and implementing initiatives in their communities. End date of this project is Septemeber 2014.

Project Coordinator - Gaza
The successful candidate will:
Work closely with project partners and communities to develop implementation plans and budgets in compliance with WV action plan and outputs
Develop and deliver progress semi annual and annual reports, annual plan, documentation and presentations
Supervise activities that are implemented by partners/CBOs jointly with partners staff on daily basis
Edit and review all financial and progress reports received from project partners
Develop and monitor capacity building interventions
Perform other related tasks as required
Qualifications/Requirements
-Bachelor degree in social science or a related field
-Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience with children and community
-Good experience in projects coordination and project field implementation
-Very good oral and written skills (English & Arabic)
-Very good communication and interpersonal skills
-Previous experience in training and facilitation
-Proficiency in MS Office
-Valid drivers’ licence
-Flexibility and willingness to work extra hours
-Commitment to achieving quality results and service
-Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively
-Ability to think clearly, deeply and broadly
-Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships
-Integrity and strong identification with WV Core Values
