Job Description

Juhoud for Community and Rural Development” was established in 2003 as Non-Governmental Organization located in Birzeit. Through its programs, Juhoud is focusing on the capacity building and economic development of youth and women in Palestinian rural areas and is currently seeking to employ a project coordinator in its main office in Bir Zeit.

JOB SUMMARY

The project coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination of the project activities set in the approved action plan. Under the direct supervision of the project manager, the Project Coordinator will carry out all planned activities in an effective and timely manner. She/ he will supervise the field workers working for this project. In addition to that, she/ he will ensure that the project implementation is according to the milestones set in the approved action plan and required quality criteria.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Oversee and manage day to day implementation of project activities in close collaboration with the project staff, as per set in the action plan
-Prepare periodic narrative and analytical reports on the project activities and progress.
-Support in the processes related to the assessment, planning, implementation, and follow up.
-Contribute to writing success stories, press releases, and other documents, as required.
-Organize for and participate in workshops and meetings, prepare reports accordingly, and follow up results with all concerned parties.
-Guide , support and give feedback to field coordinator
-Ensure efficient internal monitoring of the project, and compliance with funder’s requirements.
-Collect and maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all activities and results.
-Coordination with and reporting to project manager.
-Filing and documentation of all project’s related documents.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
-Bachelor Degree in any related field.
-At least 2 years of proven experience in managing/ coordination of activities related to youth development sector.
-High skills to access to related information
-Excellent communication skill, with proven writing skills in English & Arabic.
-High planning & organizational skills and proper team management
-Proficiency in Microsoft Application (Work, Excel, Power Point,)
-Ability to handle multi-tasks in a fast paced environment.
