Project Coordinator
The Economic and Social Development Centre of Palestine (ESDC) is an independent Palestinian non-profit civil society organization. ESDC is implementing a five months project that aims to safeguard farmer’s livelihood in Absan Alkabera and Absan Al Jadidah in Gaza. ESDC seeks an experienced and committed professional for the post of a Project Coordinator based in Gaza and works through its Ramallah office.
Duration: up to 5 Months.
Tasks and responsibilities:
-Prepare detailed and effective project action plans;
-Close follow up on the implementation of the different components of the project;
-Produce the technical specifications and prepare all the procurement documents tenders, price offers, TORs, and other needed documents;
-Manage the overall project financial issues, including the budget and payments’ financial cycle;
-Prepare periodical reports as requested by ESDC and donor in consultation with the Program Manager;
-Represent ESDC in the coordination meetings with partners;
-Accessing the project locations;
-Coordinate & communicate with the stakeholders at the field level and formulate local committees as needed;
-Prepare the needed templates & forms such as applications, contracts, handing over forms, etc.
-Perform all the project activities starting with announcing, beneficiaries selections, handing over, ensuring the specifications, monitoring the progress;
-Drafting the final report;
-Perform any other tasks required by supervisor or ESDC Director.
Required Background, Experiences & Skills:
-University degree: BA in Agriculture, or other related field
-Minimum three years of professional experience in project coordination specifically in humanitarian projects with NGO’s.
-Experience in the field of agriculture and food security.
-Fluency in both English & Arabic languages, both written and oral communication skills.
-Excellent reporting skills in both English & Arabic.
-Strong M & E skills.
-Advanced computer literacy.
-Valid driver license is a plus.
