Project Coordinator
The Society of St. Yves, the Catholic Center for Human Rights is a Catholic Church related organization operating with the aim to serve the poor and marginalized Palestinians. The Society of St. Yves is looking to hire a new project coordinator for its joint EU funded project: “People with disabilities (PWDs) in East Jerusalem enjoy improved living conditions”. This project will be implemented in partnership and coordination with the Swedish organization Diakonia.
The successful candidate for this position will be contracted for one year (renewable). He/she will be responsible for the overall coordination, implementation and reporting of the project activities, and will be undertaking the following duties:
-Overall coordination of project activities especially between the different departments of St. Yves.
-Coordination, networking, and follow up with main partner and the donor organization.
-Planning and implementing project activities.
-Responsible for project reporting activities, including preparing narrative reports, briefings, progress reports, memos, or any other requested documentation by our project partner.
-Act as a focal point for the PWDs project.
Minimum Requirements:
-A university degree in human rights; project management; development Studies; or any other related field.
-At least 3 years of relevant work experience including working in the NGO sector.
-Experience in project management and reporting.
-Working in projects related to disability rights is an advantage.
-Prior knowledge of disability rights and human rights issues.
-Prior knowledge of NGOs in Jerusalem working on disability rights.
-Prior knowledge of Israeli laws especially those related to disability rights is an advantage.
-Fluency in English is required; good knowledge of Hebrew is an advantage.
