The purpose of the ICLA Strategies Project Coordinator (West Bank) position is to implement the delegated ICLA Strategies project portfolio

Job description
-Line management of ICLA Strategies project field staff
-Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
-Contribute to ICLA strategy development, project proposals and provide input on needs and gaps
-Manage and implement delegated portfolio of ICLA projects (activities, budget and project documentation) as delegated from PM in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements, and ensure high technical quality
-Provide regular progress reports to PM (AM and CCS if no PM)
-Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and asses new and better ways to assist
-Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities
-Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
-Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
-Promote the rights of beneficiaries in line with the advocacy strategy

-Specific tasks:
-Lead and support the Strategies team to plan and implement their activities in accordance with weekly and monthly plans and with ICLA strategies and priorities.
-Monitor the provision of ICLA services by the Strategies team and private lawyers contracted to provide legal services
-Ensure that project activities are in line with budgets and assist with overall financial management of the project
-Overall responsibility over all consultancy contracts with private lawyers or other consultancies, including drafting, follow up, management of the financial aspects and maintaining good relationships with contracted lawyers and consultants
-Organise brainstorming sessions for private lawyers and implementing partners
-Act as focal point for public interest cases
-Work with the ICLA Project Manager (West Bank) to develop project strategies and activities, including the overall responsibility over the implementation of the “Bedouin Forced Transfer Strategy” and other delegated strategies
-Assume the Project Manager responsibilities in her/his absence
-Coordinate Strategies team monthly reporting and statistics and provide any necessary follow-up on Monitoring and Evaluation issues
-Carry out any other relevant duties as requested by supervisor

Qualifications

-Some project coordination experience
-University degree in field of law, international law, management or other relevant field
-Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in legal or management fields
-Palestinian and/or Israeli Bar registration desirable
-Experience working with donors, projects and in humanitarian context desirable
-Knowledge of Arabic
-Knowledge of HLP and/or Residency law
-Cultural sensitivity
-Experience from working in a project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context

Personal qualities

-Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
-Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
-Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
-Fluency in English, both written and verbal
