BACKGROUND:
 
Catholic Relief Services is an international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States and has been present in the Jerusalem, West Bank, and Gaza since 1961. The CRS JWBG country program currently supports development/relief programs and activities in the sectors of civil society, humanitarian assistance, youth development, education, and peace & justice. Position Title: Project Coordinator- Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
Location: Gaza Field Office
Reports To: Assistant Project Officer – M&E (APO M&E)

JOB SUMMARY:
CRS JWBG is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator (PC) to assist in the work of our Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) work in Gaza. The PC will coordinate the planning and implementation of MEAL activities within all projects, including planning and follow up with project teams and local partners, monitoring of activities. The PC will work with partners to ensure they understand how to use monitoring tools correctly and to ensure monitoring documents and data are reported in a timely way.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
-University degree in statistics, sociology, management, development, social policy or related field. Significant comparable work experience will be considered in lieu of field of study.
Technical/Professional:
-Minimum of two years’ work experience in monitoring and evaluation and humanitarian/development work in Gaza Strip; preferable having a basic knowledge of USG-funded programs. 
-Experience in community mobilization, organization and mediation among local actors using participatory methods; 
-Excellent language and communication skills both written and oral in English and Arabic; 
-Experience with statistical analysis and/or qualitative research; 
-Knowledge of SPSS software and MS Office; 
-Ability to prioritize work, often with competing priorities and demands; 
-Proven ability to develop progress reports;
