Country & Base of posting: Hebron or Tubas in oPt with frequent visits to all West Bank
Reports to: Program Manager
Works in coordination with: Area Managers, Technical Coordinators, field staff
Duration: 12 MONTHS (3 MONTHS’ PROBATION + 9 MONTHS), RENEWABLE upon work needs
WeWorld has been working in Palestine since 1992, operating in the field of human rights, humanitarian aid and development to guarantee Palestinian communities access to basic services and available natural resources, in particular with regard to integrated service management, the strengthening of the integrated protection of the population and the enhancement of local socio-economic development in a sustainable and innovative way, with particular attention to the social and economic empowerment of women.
WeWorld in Palestine has 5 offices (Jerusalem, Ramallah, Hebron, Tubas and Gaza Strip). Over the decades, WeWorld has implemented several interventions funded by multiple donors: ECHO and EU, UN agencies as UNICEF and OCHA, as well as national agencies such as AICS, SIDA, GIZ, JICA, GFFO, FCDO, and others.
With a people-centered approach, the priorities are always identified together with the communities we serve, with a specific focus on a triple Nexus approach. The significant amount of data and analysis collected and elaborated by WeWorld in oPt inform the intervention of multiple agencies in Country. WeWorld is a member of the Global WASH Cluster and is part of all the clusters at national level: WASH, Education, Food Security/Livelihoods, Shelter, Protection and Health. WeWorld is currently active in emergency operations and activities within Gaza to support the ongoing crisis.
Summary of Key Functions and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Program Manager and in collaboration with technical/ protection /community engagement teams and area managers the project coordinator is responsible for the supervision of the implementation of the project activities according to the project workplan and indicators, the project coordinator will facilitate communication among stakeholders, manage project documentation, and support project implementation in all West Bank areas. The position will require active communication and coordination with project teams (including partners’ project staff) through participating and establishing any necessary meetings and communication channel to achieve its objectives.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Assist in the development and refinement of the project plans.
- Coordinate project activities and ensure adherence to the project schedule.
- Plan, arrange and conduct field visits to ensure the effective and smooth implementation of the project activities and report to the direct supervisor on the work progress and any challenges/risks that may emerge during implementation
- Communication and Coordination:
- Support the Program Manager and the area managers in contact for all project-related communications.
- With the coordination of the Program Manager, organize and facilitate staff meetings, including preparation of agendas and minutes.
- Coordinate the activities with internal teams, and attend the external meetings when needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation by daily follow up with the project team
- Ensure all project deliverables are documented and archived appropriately by following up WeWorld internal documentation methodology.
- Report the project data on 5Ws or any cluster-related updates.
- Support in producing donors reports, and any updates on each activity, achievements, and constraints faced during the project period.
- Procurement:
- Support the Projects Manager in preparation of the procurement plans, procurement requests, payments and tracking sheets.
- Verify all handover documents with the contractors are matching with the implementation on the ground.
- Quality Assurance:
- In coordination with the Technical Engineering Coordinator and the Community Engagement and Accountability Coordinator ensure project deliverables meet the required WeWorld and donors quality standards.
- Work closely with MEAL department to fill the project surveys and evaluate the outputs / feedback.

Essential Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
- University degree or equivalent in the field of project management, social science, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in INGOs with proven field experience.
- Experience in Humanitarian programming and/or Development (cooperatives, social entrepreneurship, local business development etc.)
- Fluency in Arabic & English both written and verbal
- Valid and clean driving license

- Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal and team skills Ability to work under pressure
