Job Description
The East Jerusalem YMCA Rehabilitation Program is a non-governmental, non-profit organization
established in 1989 to offer quality rehabilitative services to youth who have physical disabilities, are
injured or traumatized as a result of political violence.
Y Care International is the YMCA’s international relief and development agency that works in
partnership with YMCAs across the developing world to respond to the needs of the most disadvantaged young people.

The East Jerusalem YMCA Rehabilitation Program is seeking a
“Project Coordinator”
for the implementation of a three-year project entitled “ Empowering Disabled Young People to Access their Rights in the West Bank” which will be carried out in partnership with Y CARE International/ UK and funded by CSCF (Civil Society Challenge Fund) / DFID (Department for International Development)/UK.

Key Responsibilities:
-Coordinates and oversees project management functions, including human resources, finance,
logistics support, under the direct supervision the Director of The East Jerusalem YMCA Rehabilitation Program.
-Provides effective logistic, financial and management support to the project.
-Supervises and coordinate timely, efficient implementation of all project activities.
-Works closely with project field staff to develop implementation plans, worksheets, and reports.
-Conducts monitoring visits for on going activities and submit progress reports.
-Ensures proper, professional, documented and clear communication with the project staff regarding all aspects of the project activities.
-Coordinates staff work with governmental ministries, NGOs, community leaders and other relevant bodies.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Human Rights Studies, or relevant fields (Masters Degree is an asset).
-Proven experience in advocacy work, preferably in advocacy-related projects.
-Demonstrated experience in project management: planning, monitoring and evaluation.
-Arabic mother tongue, verbal and written, and fluent English is essential.
-Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Proven experience in building cooperative relationships.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Able to work from Beit-Sahour office.
