PROJECT COORDINATOR

COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale is an international Non-Governmental Organization operating in OpT since 2002 and in Gaza Strip since 2006. For the implementation of the humanitarian aid project entitled “Realization of a pilot system for plastic recycling in Gaza City, Occupied Palestinian Territories”, COOPI is looking for professionals in Gaza Strip for the position:

 

The Project Coordinator (National) shall work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager (International).

Responsibilities:
-Organize and supervise the activities linked to collection and separation of plastic performed by the project beneficiaries. 
Supervise the daily site activities to ensure adequate quality and progress.
Provide solutions and define work processes for all planned interventions and provide analyses of the collected data.
Coordinate with the project staff to ensure a cohesive and sound program approach. Ensure the good coordination with the Local Authorities in close link with the Project Manager.
Support the international staff in all the activities, sharing information, and assist in new proposals formulation, if necessary.

Requirements
-University Degree in Engineering, Social or Environmental Sciences or related fields.
-Minimum of 3 years field working experience in similar positions and/or in similar sector; previous experience with  an international humanitarian international NGOs is an advantage; strong knowledge of environmental issues is an asset;
-Strong supervisory skills and abilities, ability to give general direction to staff, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
-Demonstrated capacity of teamwork and of coordination with the Local Authorities
-Excellent inter-personal and writing communication skills;
-Fluency in written and spoken English;
-High knowledge of computer language;
-Resident in Gaza City or willing to autonomously travel in the Strip
