Caritas Jerusalem is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the following position:
Position title: Project Coordinator - Microcredit
Contract period: 12 months, with possibility of extension(s)
Location: Bethlehem.
Starting date: 1st of March 2021.

Responsibilities:
- Attract new beneficiaries in the targeted areas through field work.
- Analyze and study credit and financial loan applications.
- Carry out marketing tasks by visiting borrowers and attending related events.
- Meet with applicants to determine the loan needs, explain the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
- Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Regular follow-up of loans and collection of instalments and dues through phones, field visits and letters.
- Present approval and rejection decisions to the loan committee.
- Review and update credit and loan files, compute payment schedules, and prepare plans for repayment by beneficiaries.
- Review loan documents to ensure that they are complete, accurate, and comply with the policy.
- Ensure loan terms comply with Caritas Jerusalem policies and procedures.
- Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Job Requirements
Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a relevant field.
- Two years of work experience as a Loan Officer or similar role.
- Proficient computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High-level communication, social and networking skills.
- Confidential handling of data and information.
- Willingness and skills to work as a team member.
- Great attention to detail and a result driven approach.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in complex environments with challenges.
- Analytical thinking skills and ability to influence others.
- Excellent Arabic and English skills speaking, reading, and writing.
- Candidates must have a valid driving license.
- Willingness to work in different Caritas Jerusalem premises in West Bank & Jerusalem.
