Job Description

 
QED Group LLC, a US based corporation, is dedicated to making meaningful and lasting change and program improvement through monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management and learning, sustainable investing, and technical delivery. QED is implementing a five-year USAID Performance Monitoring and Evaluation project and seeks a Palestinian Project Driver to be based in Ramallah, West Bank.
 
Title: Jerusalem ID Holder Driver

Main Responsibilities:

Drive project vehicles and provide transportation for employees and/or short-term expatriate or local consultants to and from meeting locations in West Bank, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and/or other sites as needed. 
Escort expatriate consultants and HQ personnel from airport to hotels, meeting sites and to office and vice-versa.
Responsible for ensuring project vehicles are optimally maintained including regular preventive maintenance and repair, maintaining vehicle fluids, and ensuring interior and exterior cleanliness. 
Responsible for the safety and security of the vehicles and all passengers, and will follow strict safety regulations and traffic laws and regulations while driving in the West Bank and Israel.
Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance services with car leasing company
Schedule and coordinate registration and insurance renewals for vehicles
Deliver and receive project technical and operations related documents and deliveries as needed and as directed by the Operations Officer.
Maintain vehicle logs and ensure compliance with USAID regulations as relates to recording of mileage - both project related and personal use for reimbursement to the project.
Ensure compliance with USAID regulations as relates to vehicle usage
Deliver payments to suppliers and vendors, and conduct petty cash purchases for office supplies as directed by Operations Officer.
Support logistics and coordination of meetings and events as directed by Operations Officer
Support logistics and hospitality for in office meetings/trainings.
Support basic office maintenance and repairs


Qualifications/Requirements:

Holds a Jerusalem ID and a clean driving license record.
Good spoken English required, some Hebrew an asset
Very good knowledge of routes inside West Bank cities, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as well as other Israel locations.
Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required
Ability to work under pressure and with flexibility in relation to work hours
Experience working in a donor or NGO environment is preferred but not required
