DAI seeks a Project Finance and Investment Officer for a 5-year, $ 5 million dollar World Bank funded “Finance for Jobs” project in Palestine. Finance for Jobs is the first project in an anticipated Series of Projects that includes as its overarching objective the mobilization of private investment and achievement of job outcomes in the West Bank and Gaza through the deployment of innovative financing instruments that crowd in private investment.
Responsibilities
-Asses investment opportunities for developmental and commercial viability and establish a pipeline of job-focused private sector investment projects;
-Evaluate the benefits and the social rate of return of selected job-focused private investments;
-Provide technical guidance for SMEs and ensure feasibility. This includes undertaking the necessary due diligence, financial modeling, risk and cost-benefit analysis to substantiate the potential value of private sector investments.
-Provide assistance in the economic/financial appraisal of proposals to the Matching Grant Fund and the shortlisting exercise
-Provide advisory inputs on the design and objectives and proposed skills development products of the Development Impact Bonds.
Qualifications
-Master's degree, or equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, or related fields
-At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in the financing of private sector investments, including hands-on experience conducting financial modeling, mitigating credit and other risks, negotiating term sheets and finance documentation and related project (and corporate) finance activities.
