Project Implementation Unit Head

The Ministry of Finance – International Relations Department (IRD) received a financing from the United States of America acting through the Department of state- INL to establish a Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in the Ministry of Finance.

PIU is a program management unit – part of Ministry of Finance/IRD – dedicated to supervise and manage US Government funded projects (The Framework Agreement). PIU is currently managing projects all over west bank areas in cooperation with Ministry of Public Works and Housing and other Palestinian Authority bodies. PIU is seeking for the following:
 

-Location : Ramallah with frequent travel in West Bank areas.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor degree in Engineering with at least 10 years experience in program development and management.
-Master degree in Business Management is preferable.
-Experience at working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
-Experience in large scale multi projects organizations
-Work experience with Donors – especially US funded projects
-Self driven and motivated personality
-Strong written and oral communication skills in both Arabic and English.
-Possession of a valid driving license.

Main Duties:
-Direct and manage project development from beginning to end between all relevant stakeholders.
-Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
-Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
-Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel in the PIU.
-Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
-Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations (upon need) and any other duties
-Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
