Project Librarian
Background:
Ahil Arab Hospital (AAH) is a local health not for profit organization, providing health care for all Gaza residents. Further, AAH implements several health projects to support marginalized communities in particular women and children. AAH operates according to principles of strict neutrality, political and religious impartiality, and non-discrimination.
Ahli Arab Hospital is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Project Librarian for 2 months period (extendable). The Project librarian will report to the Project Manager of Minimum Invasive Surgeries (MIS) project activities and support MIS trainers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage an already designed database including entry, extraction of data, managing users (adding, deleting, and authorities in case).
Develop and promote library to ensure that AAH MIS training center has an online resources meet the needs of the trainees and available.
Report to project manager issues related to the management of the database system in place
Create orientation documents on how to access relevant websites and medical journals and/or hold either individual or group orientation sessions to ensure that trainees are having the needed access.
To develop and promote current e-library and training center activities.
Scheduling regular meetings and recording decisions and act as library focal point for all contacts
Handle any related issues to the media system in place and address these issues promptly, especially during live sessions
Assist trainers to assess and collate feedback from trainees.
Maintain Beneficiary tracking sheet monthly and report to project manager

Qualifications:
A bachelor degree in IT engineering, Information Technology or any related field
Three years’ experience in data management, Familiarity with VC, web based resources or any related ways of communication and recording sessions are referable.
