Project Manager
The Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees (PARC) is a leading Palestinian Agricultural Development Organization that was established in 1983. Since its establishment, PARC has been efficiently engaged in Palestinian land development, water resources & environment, poverty reduction and women empowerment, olive oil marketing, as well as other crucial rural development programs.
PARC is implementing a DKH funded project called " Recovery interventions post July-August Israeli War 2014". The project aims at recovering the livelihoods of the war 2014 affected vulnerable small scale farmers after the war, and contributing to building the resilience of agricultural sector to better respond to future hazards. Within this context PARC seeks the services of full-time Project Manager to accomplish the following:
-Make sure that the scope of the project is maintained in all phases and achieving planning.
-Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
-Lead the Execution of the project activities according to the project plan
-Ensuing that the rehabilitation process applies the build back better approach
-Ensure that the project is achieving its expected outcomes and results
-Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
-Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
-Write progress reports and specialized reports for PRAC's management team and for DKH
-Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance on a regular basis
-Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
-Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
Duration and Nature of Appointment: The contract will be one year contract with possibility to be extend.
Qualifications & Experience
-BA in Agronomy with five years experience or M.Sc. with three years of experience
-Experience in the field of agricultural project management including experience in the field of rehabilitating agribusinesses.
-Experience in public engagement and community participation
-Excellent command in English writing and speaking
-Capacity to write high quality reports
