Project Manager

ASAL Technologies, the largest software development house in Palestine, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the ranks. The ideal candidate is conscientious by nature. They thrive in fast-paced environments while dealing with a variety of unknowns. A successful candidate helps identify and implement project management policies and leads multiple small and large software/Web application development projects from conceptualization to launch.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of a technical project ensuring the project expectations are met. This individual must be able to communicate with all departments within the organization in order to ensure deadlines are being met, as well as report back to company executives with the status of projects. This person will manage client relationships in a stressful, deadline driven environment. This individual must work effectively with engineering, sales, marketing, HR and other internal business units to ensure client satisfaction project goals are met

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all technical and logistical aspects of a project including timelines, risks, risk mitigation strategies, action items and change requests
• Proactively communicate with the client on every development stage: requirements elicitation; talking to the client regarding scope, backlog, and priorities as well as regarding project's roadmap.
• Support sales and operations in closing opportunities during pre-sales stage: understand client business and technical needs, work with HR on identifying and recruiting qualified external candidates
• Ensure projects are being completed on time and the quality of work is consistent with client expectations and quality standards at ASAL
• Identify scope of work, gather technical requirements, and deliver technical proposals to sales
• Managing project development process through Agile methodology; development team coordination; Scrum activities according to the Scrum Guide; carrying out scrum artefact
• Development of relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Be an active member of the Service Delivery Department and help in defining best practices and operating procedures. Mentor other members of the organization
• Must be able to interact and communicate with people at all levels in the organization
• Support and coordinate hiring activities for expansions
• Coordinate project team meetings including meeting logistics, agenda and meeting minutes’ preparation
• Managing teams in remote sites with occasional travel to those sites
• Creates and maintains teams and project budgets
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Computer Science, IT Management, or similar degrees
• 6+ years of technical project management experience
• Expert knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools, and the software development and project management life cycles
• Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues surrounding each project and influence cross-functional teams without formal reporting structure authority
• Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines and accommodate client schedules
• Skilled at resolving problems and conflicting priorities and situations
• Set aggressive goals and drive the team to meet and exceed them
• Monitor, track and review project progress. Identify, escalate and resolve issues as appropriate
• Develop and maintain strong cross functional relationships
• Emphasis on exceptional written and verbal communication and team player style/approach
• Familiarity with quality assurance practices is required
• Must have a quick aptitude for learning new software
• Excellent listening skills; meets commitments on time; can compromise when necessary; effectively participates in project teams, work groups and meetings
• Must be detailed oriented, a team player, and have strong organizational skills
• Experience in Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, etc.) is highly desired
• Presentation and sales support experience preferred
• PMI/PMP Certification is a plus
