EMDH
Enfants du Monde-Droits de l’Homme (EMDH) is a French non-governmental organization created in 1986, which aims protection of children and youth at risk and recognition of the child/youth as a person with rights. Its action is based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and it aims to raise public awareness to this Convention but also to act to enforce it in France and abroad.
EMDH is independent of any political or religious. Its action is accompanied by positions before international opinion. It defends all children and youth, whoever they are, referring to the fundamental values recognized by the CRC: the right to life, the right to identity, the right to an education, or the right to leisure.

Full time position
EMDH is now seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Project Manager (PM) for its 3 year EU funded project “Supporting youth development in East Jerusalem” and implemented in partnership with Palestinian Vision, the African Community Society and Burj Al Luq Luq. The primary responsibility of the PM is to coordinate and supervise the implementation of all the activities in the action. This includes:
a)Overall project management
-Communication and liaison with representatives from project specific partners;
-Review and implement training resources and methodologies
-Supervise and support project officers in each of the 3 partner organization for activity implementation
-Ensure compliance with donors and EMDH regulations;
-Communication, reporting and coordination with EMDH Head of Mission
b)Project Planning
-Writing quarterly plans, including activities and its finances
c)Project Monitoring
-Plan and monitor the project
-Record progress
-Manage the risks using the Risks log
-Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action when
-necessary
-Be responsible for change control
d)Project reporting
-Report, both narrative and financially, to the Project Steering Committee and EMDH Head of Mission according to agreed mechanisms and frequency
-Prepare any Follow-on Action Recommendations as required
e)Others
-Assume any other duties requested by EMDH Head of Mission
Profile:
Required qualifications:
-University degree in a relevant field (Social sciences or related field,).
-A minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation.
-Knowledge and experience in the area of youth programs and needs, especially in East Jerusalem.
-Good networking and report writing skills.
-Fluent in Arabic and English writing and verbal skills
-Strong communication skills.
-Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-Driving licence is an asset.
Skills and abilities:
-Demonstrated ability to establish, manage, support and monitor field programs
-Strong analytical and communication skills.
-Demonstrated ability related to management of project cycles, including project formulation,
monitoring, reporting and evaluation;
-Ability to work efficiently and independently under pressure, with strong delivery orientation
