Project Manager
The YWCA of Palestine would like to recruit a new post in the position of: Project Manager – Youth, Peace and Security
Duty Station: Ramallah
Reporting to: Youth Leadership and Civic Engagement Team leader
Duration of Contract: Annual contract with the possibility to extend based on fund availability and satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure planning of the Projects under her/his responsibility following the projects' objectives, activities, and targets outlined within Project Documents and in line with the projects' budgets.
- Close coordination, monitoring, and follow-up with projects’ partners to ensure timely implementation as per their work plans and to validate payments as per the agreed budget and in line with YWCA and donor’s financial and procurement policies and procedures.
- Ensure that activities are appropriate and timely performed. Follow up on the implementation of projects activities, report, and discuss any challenges with the direct supervisor.
- Plan and organize regular meetings with representatives of local authorities and other stakeholders.
- In collaboration with the Finance manager and youth Team leader forecast expenditures and track activities expenses on monthly basis.
- Assist in the development of new proposals for funding and advise on their technical soundness and financial feasibility.
- Assist in the drafting and submission of donor reports, and follow-up with partners for timely inputs.
- Organize field visits based on projects’ needs, to establish and follow up on projects activities, facilitate the work on the MEAL officer per the annual MEAL plan
- Participate in project staff regular meetings, and propose any developmental ideas based on field needs.
- Regularly travel to field locations to support local partners and beneficiaries.
- Supervise field coordinators and assign them tasks to ensure fulfilling the implementation of projects plans
- Supervise young interns in their learning and professional development.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the advocacy campaigns within the projects under his/ her responsibility; while ensuring its alignment of the overall advocacy strategy; in close coordination with the media and communications manager
- Any other related tasks as requested by the General Secretary and/or Youth Team Leader

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, management, or any relevant subject
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management in the NGO sector, preferred in Youth leadership, Peace and Security & GBV.
- Experience working with local partners and community mobilization
- Experience with, or strong knowledge of, Youth Engagement and Gender Equality.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Experience in conducting training and coaching is an added value
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to move in the West Bank districts
